Documents Policy

Members of the University have direct access to the minutes of the two major policy-making bodies of the University, namely the University Senate and the Financial Board (Consiglio di Amministrazione). The Department though wishes to simplify the access procedure and make available on the departmental web pages selected documents, specially relevant to departmental policies and decision-making.

Similarly, the Department wishes to share with its members selected documents prepared by – and circulated at meetings of Departmental Directors (so-called Consulta). The Consulta is not a governing body, unlike the Senate and Financial Board.  As the name implies the Consulta is a consultation body but it often generates documents that can influence University – and thus indirectly – departmental policy.

Finally, the Department wishes to share with its members selected documents circulated by Ministero dell’ Istruzione, dell’ Università e della Ricerca (MIUR), directly relevant – once more – to departmental policies and decision-making.

Unlike access to the Buildings & Facilities, Health & Safety and Meetings section of the website, access to the Documents section is not password restricted.  Members of the Department who download documents of the University Senate, Financial Board and Consulta, however, are requested to treat these documents appropriately and avoid using them in any manner that does not reflect the original scope of the document.
